Ara, which means air in Tupi, is the theme that unites the pieces. The carpets, signed by Mila Rodrigues for DonaFlor, are guided by the voids generated by the weft, highlighting stages of the production process, which make them, graphics. Containing three distinct models in line, they develop a feeling of aeration and freshness. In nautical rope and with loom technique, Ara Chuva prints in its wefts the vigorous rain that refreshes the temperature. The Diagonal Ara is produced by hand with a technique that brings multiple effects starting from diagonal axels. Organic Ara searches the outline of the ponds and brings a spiral weft, applying an irregular rounded shape to build a playful effect. o complement the collection, the DonaFlor team searched for traditional oriental wefts, originally made of natural fibers. For the Ara Palha rug, a traditional Japanese basket weave was chosen to be represented in a raw material resistant to sun and rain. Its half-cane texture provides comfort when walking on it, while its texture generates a delicate effect.
