Sculpture design inspired by nature

"Captured by the look, Mantanegra stingray materializes in the armchair of the same name and brings out the inspiration immersed in the immensity of marine waters, where mysteries and amazing beings inhabit the darkness," explains Sergio Matos.

Its light, fluid and organic shape is forged in aluminum. 

In addition, the sinuous lines, which refer to the fins, give movement, as if the fish itself were sliding over the waters. The handmade nautical rope weft complements with volume and texture.

Highlight of the 2021 Collection of DonaFlor Furniture, Mantanegra armchair is a finalist of the Salão Design Award 2022, held by Sindmóveis in Bento Gonçalves (RS), one of the most important in Latin America to promote creativity, innovation and Brazilian design in the international market.
