Cecilia DonaFlor Collection 2024

The Cecília line began with an armchair designed for indoor spaces, in tribute to my grandmother (Erna Cecília), a petite and charming German woman passionate about handcrafted work. This passion is reflected in the armchair’s design, especially in the backrest, which features a patchwork-style craftsmanship.

The solid wood frame and the armchair’s low profile inspired us to recreate it for outdoor use, replacing the leather with a mesh fabric, resulting in an ergonomic and extremely comfortable design. The armchair presents an inviting, functional, and cozy design, with a reclined, low seat and arms featuring small flaps that serve as practical support in outdoor environments. The backrest is adorned with a cushion upholstered in water-resistant fabric, completing the piece’s design.

After the armchair was approved, at the invitation of Dona Flor Mobília, we created the Cecília collection. Additional armchair versions were developed, highlighting the materiality of the wood and its sense of comfort. A sofa, chaise lounge, and chair complete the collection, creating a strong, recognizable identity. The entire collection exudes a beachy mood, combining sophistication and elegance. Although solid wood is the star, it is presented in a light and welcoming way.
