Fall colors in a modernist palette

In the beginning of fall, when the weather becomes a little colder, being around warmer tones might bring some warmth and coziness to the spaces. Mustard yellows and profound greens, deep blues and earthy browns and oranges start to take over the aesthetic all around.

These deeper colors bring an elegant and pleasing feeling for fall decoration, they give a space more personality, reminiscing of the Modernist palette, it is a trend that can be observed largely in the expositions in 2019, since the beginning of the year and are invading the décor segment.

The Modernist Palette is inspired by the color study by architect and painter Le Corbusier, that proposed on his architecture theory a 63 tones colors card, some stronger and some lighter, but that are always combined in free harmony. The study dictated the aesthetic between the 1930s and the 1960s and it wasn’t only followed by modernists designers. In 2019 it gained touches of the contemporary world with a lot of bright colors in a more natural and nostalgic sense.

Creativity and the ability to personalize the pieces are the key point to adapt this trend to various rooms and spaces. The main tip is to coordinate complementary tones and keep the harmony to create a unique and chic living space.
