Many people have fond memories of moments lived in a square during their lives. Square is a place of meeting, of permanence, of manifestations of urban and community life. It's a space where life happens! With this in mind, architect and landscaper Clariça Lima, heading Studio Clariça Lima, designed this environment with furniture from DonaFlor Mobília for CASACOR São Paulo 2023.

The event, which this year takes place between May 30th and August 6th, at Conjunto Nacional, reaches its 36th edition with the theme Corpo & Morada. Serving as a guiding thread for the project, the theme led to a reflection on our future on how the city can integrate with nature and society. Clariça explains that in urban areas, where there is accelerated growth and there is no planning for green areas, people are susceptible to becoming ill. "By returning space to nature, we favor biodiversity and give the city an opportunity to rebalance itself", he states.

And it was within this concept that the professional proposed this large urban square, measuring 125 m², called The Art of Encounter. "We chose native plants, with different leaves and textures, highlighting our Brazilianness and the appreciation of our species", explains Clariça. Thus, framed by flower boxes and vases, the space is distributed into two meeting points.

The largest of them, a kind of lounge, accommodates two Sagano sofa modules, Ishi coffee tables, Irupé armchairs and several Orla puffs here and there. Next door, in the smaller space, the highlight is the Gota suspended armchair, designed by architect Leonardo Lattavo and designer Pedro Moog. Close by, several Bird House drops add grace to the set. All from DonaFlor Mobília, the furniture displays green and earthy tones, highlighting the exuberant nature. In the same tones, the Bask Nautic pendant lamps are responsible for illuminating the space at night.

"We chose DonaFlor Mobíia because it has an innovative design and materials with good resistance and quality", highlights Clariça. Specialist in furniture and accessories for outdoor areas, the brand presents infinite possibilities for enjoying the outdoor space, creating original pieces with personality and full of flair, in perfect harmony between aesthetics, design and functionality.

All this bossa is evident in every corner of the square, which integrates the landscaping and furniture, promoting encounters between people. And, more than that, it displays a welcoming space capable of rescuing affectionate memories. “From countless games in the late afternoon and great contemplation of nature, that's what the square is.

A good square invites everyone, each one with their own search, the art of encounter, reunion, friendship and joy, with all its splendor. May we enjoy the best moments there, like a big party, with laughter unleashed”, says Clariça Lima.
